Good morning, my name is Bruce. It is really a great honor to have this opportunity, and I believe I can make good performance today and consequently i hope i will be enrolled in your prestigious university. Now I will introduce myself briefly.
I am 22 years old，born in jiangsu province, east of China, and I am a (freshman/sophomore/junior)senior student at NT University. My major is Electronic Information Science and Technology . And I will receive my bachelor degree after my graduation.
In the past four years, I spent most of my time on improving capability. Now I can use English with few language barriers , acquired basic knowledge of my major , Master the PCB board design and use the microcontroller - STM32.when I was a sophomore student,I participate in “The challenge cup” and get a very great glory.Our work is “Unmanned Cruise Boat System for Aquaculture Monitoring”. In addition, I also participated in many provincial-level competitions and won honors. I think I’m a good team player and I’m a person of great honesty to others. Also I am able to work under great pressure.
As to my character, I cannot describe it well, but I know I am optimistic and confident. Sometimes I prefer to stay alone,but I am not lonely, for I like to chat with my classmates about almost everything. My favorite pastime is to practice Kung Fu. I have been practicing this sport for four years. I was also the coach of our school Taekwondo Association. That is my pride.
How to plan for three years of life
Master Year 1
In the first semester, there is no doubt that the main task of this semester should be to study a degree program to ensure that you have the credits necessary for a master’s degree. Since I am a cross-professional student, I also need to take up some of the professional foundation courses of my current major.
In the second semester, when I chose to apply to the DaLian Maritime University, I had the direction I wanted to study, that is, the motion control of the ship. I want to follow the subject of the research team to understand the subject research content and research methods. In addition, I should read the literature and start trying to write a literature report.
Master Year 2
There may be more time for free control, but I think it is also the most time to be able to withstand loneliness. It may be irritable, but with goals, there will be strength. I heard that there will be regular academic seminars. I will cherish my chances of reporting each time to train my research and teaching skills and to train my expression skills. I also hope to participate in some academic conferences at home and abroad, and to meet and interact with graduate students, scholars, and well-known experts who work in the same or related directions, broaden my horizon, and improve my research ideas. At present, my ambition is to go to society after graduation. I want to build a smart ship, not just an unmanned ship. Therefore, I must begin to accumulate relevant knowledge and skills, develop a rigorous work style . I think I will consider a doctorate if I need it.
Master Year 3
The focus of work should be on research work, and considerable research progress or results should be achieved, and papers should be published. Complete the dissertation defense.
Finally, I want to say: Learning to do, Learning together, Learning to be. Do something meaningful, read meaningful books, study hard and train myself.
I am honored to talk about my family. My family is very warm and harmonious. My parents are typical Chinese farmers. They are all diligent and kind. In order to support the family and pay expensive tuition, my parents contracted a lot of land to produce food in my hometown. When agriculture is not busy every year, my mother would go to the big city to find a job, and then I could make more money, my father. Then stay home and look after the fields. I also have a sister, she is a rigorous, professional insurance sales expert.
So this is my family.They give a lot help to me,both materially and mentally.I will try my best to live up to their expectations and show much gratitude to them.

I think there is only one reason. That is I want to build a smart ship. Because I am not satisfied with the knowledge I have now, I hope that I can better understand the main knowledge of the unmanned ship. I think this is the most important factor in my decision.
In a word,I think the postgraduate studies can enrich my knowledge and give me a solid foundation for my future profession.
